I'm Rachel Makepeace; welcome to Spiders in the Bubblegum.

 

Six years ago, I created the vision to make characters- and stories- and bring them to life; visually & in novel form. I like to mix art with fiction to create a whole world that comes together over multiple mediums..

Because, maybe I have the heart of a writer;

I'm the type of girl who'll ask, 'Where's Oscar Wilde buried?' instead of 'Where's the Eiffel Tower?'

But I see the images so strongly in my head that I approach my work with a heavily aesthetic mindset, which creates its own sort of style.

Personally, I love playing with duality- dark and light; beauty and mortality; reality and art, and I like to create stories which are tinged with their own sort of darkness, but ultimatly have a strong source of light.
